Hi! I am Morgan.
I recently graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Social Work. The combined knowledge of my educational studies as well as my personal life experiences have shaped me to have a passion for helping others create their story and make a difference in this world.
Through the multiple philanthropic involvements in high school like being involved with The American Cleft Palate Association and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte, I thought I wanted to be a social worker. However, after some classes at NC State, conversations and life in general, that thought shifted. I decided it was not the career path for me for now. I did want to help others and make a change in the world.
Growing up, I have always been interested in pop culture and social media. Before I proceed to tell my mom about any pop-culture news, she always asks “Is this relevant to me at all?” She would always “listen” but said somehow I should turn this knowledge into a job somehow. And here I am… turning my passions into a career, helping others tell their story.
During my final semester of my undergrad, I was the public relations intern for an non-profit called Mitchell’s Fund+ Mitchell’s House. Mitchell’s House is counseling and play therapy center for sick children with a terminal or life-threatening diagnosis, their siblings, parents or legal guardians regardless of ability to pay. I helped create social media content and helped plan out events for the organization.
